Opening reception for the A is for Ahimsa - Nonviolence exhibit. More than twenty-five regional artists have prepared a canvas that conveys what ahimsa means to them just for this exhibit. They are joined by artists working in other media, including sculpture, paper, clay, and enamel. Refreshments will be provided by The Coffee Emporium Espresso Cart.

Stories Old Upon the Land

Neeake presents the oral traditions, history, and stories of the Shawandasse Nishnabe (now known as Shawnee) dressed in the traditional attire, accoutrements, and paint of an Olammapise (storyteller) of 1780. Examples of songs and drumming will be included. Time will be allotted for questions and answers. 60 - 90 minutes.
